Diarist Tips ...
Here are some pointers for creating a good entry…
Audience
Firstly, and probably most importantly carefully consider the kind of people reading your entries. You don’t want to cause offence to anyone so be wise as to how you word things.
Schedule
Create a schedule and stick to it.
Clarity and Simplicity
Keep your entries clear and easy to understand. Sometimes a little explanation goes a long way.
Make your opinion known
Tell us what you think using the least amount of words possible.
Write Less
Give the maximum amount of info using the least amount of words. Blast your knowledge!
Bullet Points
People love lists! It structures the info so that it’s easily digestible.
Be consistent with your style
People like to know what to expect. Once you have settled on a style for your entries, stick with it.
Photos
Photos are a good way to add meaning to your words and to bring them alive. Send in a selection each week and we’ll choose one for each of your entries.
Edit your post
Good writing is in the editing. Before you hit the send button, re-read your entry and cut out the stuff that you don’t need.

As a diarist you have the opportunity to write 4 entries – one per week for your month. These need to be sent in by Wednesday each week and they will be available to see online each Monday.
