Trafficking is
a secretive and underground industry. Legislation
has ruled it illegal, but it will take so
much more than legislation to eradicate it.
The following information gives details on
some existing campaigns that are trying to
tackle the issue:
UNICEF - Write to your MP: UNICEF are running
a campaign that enables you to write to your
MP and ask them to call on the Government
to introduce provision for the care of trafficked
children.
Their web site has an excellent email facility
that automatically links your campaign letter
to your local MP. Visit: www.endchildexploitation.org.uk
Anti-Slavery International - Sign an online
petition: Anti-Slavery International is running
the ‘Stop Human Trafficking’ Campaign.
It has an online petition that’s calling
on governments around the world to take steps
against the problem. www.stophumantraffic.org
