Just Animals

Many people in developing communities are subsistence farmers and rely on the crops that they grow to eat and live.

Just Life

The people in the Nujiang area of China are primarily subsistence farmers. Poverty and a lack of income-generating opportunities mean that women often migrate to other areas to look for work and are as such vulnerable to human trafficking. If these women and their families can be enabled to engage in silkworm farming, they can start to earn a living in and for their own community, helping pull people out of poverty and make them less vulnerable to exploitation.
