I do hope you will find the St Helier Corps Web Site informative. As far as I am able I try to keep it as up to date as I can and include as much pictorial content as is possible and am grateful for any help you may be able to give me. a few contributions from Corps visitors would be very welcome. I would be pleased to receive any observations you might have or any entries for the 'Guest Book'. Please address them to me at lennardrenouf@gmail.com
St Helier Corps has had a presence on the Island of Jersey since 1879. It is the most southerly corps in the UK Territory and is located in the main town adjacent to the Minden Street multi-storey car park. This car park is free during the evenings and weekends. It is the only Salvation Army Corps on the Island of JERSEY and gives a warm welcome to all, visitors and local people alike. If you are here over a weekend we would be pleased to see you worshiping with us.
The 10:30AM Sunday meeting is led by our Commanding Officers Lieutenants Steve & Mel Scoulding unless otherwise announced. On the first Sunday of each month at 6:00PM there will be a Monthly Evening Meeting unless otherwise announced.

KNIT-A-MARATHON
As part of the run-up and duration of the 2012 London Olympics we invite the people of the Island of Jersey to join the ‘More than Gold' Olympic events. ‘More than Gold' is the Churches celebrations of the qualities of excellence that underpin all true sporting effort, and each community is invited and encouraged to make their mark on the proceedings.
The Salvation Army is unique amongst mainstream Christian Churches on the Island, in that we are not limited to a particular Parish. Legitimately we can call on the whole island to join with us in this Marathon effort!
So what are we inviting you to take part in? To knit (or crochet) woollen squares that will then be made into blankets and donated to those less fortunate than ourselves, and to have fun in the process!
Squares can be 20cm x 20cm OR 20cm x 30cm, whichever you prefer!
Please use DK wool and Size 4 Needles (Old size 8)
Easy 20cm2 = 40 sts (knit) x approx. 76 rows!
We will first knit the 100m, then 200m, and eventually reach the Marathon with your help.
Special events will take place on the way:
Knitting evenings 7.00-8.30 pm on March 15th, April 12th, May 17th, June 21st, July 19th
Celebrations as we reach each target!
Can you be part of the Marathon?
