Human trafficking: Elena's story

'I thought it could never happen to me'
Elena* is 18 and learnt about human trafficking whilst at school in Eastern Europe. Like her school friends, Elena thought that this was something that she would never encounter first hand.
But - shockingly - three years ago, she did. She was forced to become a prostitute and to take hard drugs.
