Spiritual Programme
Spiritual Programme
As a Salvation Army Centre, our spiritual programme is a clear priority at Devonport House Projects.
We have a regular 'Pause For Thought' on a Thursday at 10.00am, and a Sunday service / discussion group on a Sunday at 09.30. We try to ensure that the Pause for Thought programme is a balanced one, where a wide variety of leaders deliver their ideas in a variety of different styles.
We arrange full spiritual programme at the significant times of the spiritual programme such as Easter and Christmas, and follow the Salvation Army Campaign in November as fully as possible.
Our Centre includes a Chapel area which is decorated with some helpful artwork - much of it produced by Devonport House service users and staff. It is equipped with a number of resources, which allow us to improve the variety of programme that we can deliver. One of the most important areas of the Chapel is the Christian book shelf, where shelves of classic Christian books are available for any service user or staff to borrow at any time.
Although we are a Salvation Army Centre we respect the religious views of other religions and denominations, and do our best to ensure that service users can attend a religious service of their wishes. We hold lots of telephone numbers and addresses to help this happen.
As a Centre we would always value prayer support from any direction. We would be delighted if anyone were to take time to pray for us as a Centre, but also the individuals within the Centre - both staff and service users. You will find a run down of the staff team on the staff team page (surprisingly enough!). Unfortunately we are not able to supply the specific names of service users because of confidentiality issues, but it would be relevent to pray for room numbers - (101-116, 201-216, 301-316, 401-412, E1 and E2)
